​​ARCA began as a solo venture, rooted in the belief that good design should be both thoughtful and attainable. Over time, it has grown into a small, design-led practice, built on collaboration with a talented circle of structural engineers, renewable specialists and contractors. Through nearly a decade of working in the UK, these relationships have grown into genuine partnerships, enabling me to provide holistic, integrated solutions.

 

One of the most exciting parts of that growth has been welcoming my sister, Cristina Calistru, into the practice. She’s a fellow architect with a focus on interior design, and my number two on all design-forward projects. Cristina brings that extra wow factor, with a sharp eye for detail, mood, and materiality. When she’s involved, our spaces don’t just work well - they feel like home.

Together, we work closely with a trusted network of structural engineers, renewable energy specialists, interior designers, and contractors. These long-standing partnerships help us deliver well-integrated, carefully considered solutions.

Our experience across the UK, the US, and Europe has given us a broad perspective on architectural and structural design, construction methods, and project delivery. It’s shaped a flexible, efficient approach, without compromising on the personal detail every project deserves.
